Overwatch 2 has confirmed that Season 17 will introduce a new map for the Flashpoint game mode, which is expected to arrive on June 24. This new map, likely to be Aatlis, was teased during the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event. It will be the third map for Flashpoint, joining the existing New Junk City and Suravasa.
Flashpoint is a game mode introduced in Season 6, where players compete to capture three points across large battlegrounds. Since its debut in August 2023, the mode has only featured two maps. The upcoming Aatlis map will add variety to the Flashpoint rotation, and players can look forward to seeing more of it as the release date nears.
In addition to the new Aatlis map, Overwatch 2 will bring updates to the existing Flashpoint maps, New Junk City and Suravasa, as well as introduce the Map Voting system in Season 17. Outside of Flashpoint, the update will also feature new maps for other game modes, including Esperanca and Samoa for Stadium, and several new locations in the coming seasons, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content for players.
