BioWare has announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature a native photo mode, a first for the series. Scheduled for release on October 31, this new feature aims to enhance player creativity by allowing them to capture in-game moments with extensive customization options.
The photo mode will include a variety of controls such as focal length and aperture sliders, along with adjustments for brightness, contrast, saturation, and bloom. Players will have the ability to roam freely around the scene, with features including the ability to hide or show NPCs and apply vignette effects.
The introduction of this feature is partly inspired by the photo mode in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, with BioWare Producer Brenon Holmes playing a key role in its development. Although The Veilguard uses a different engine, it may benefit from some of the code and ideas from the earlier implementation.
